This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to foster teamwork, develop sports skills, and promote healthy lifestyles among children and youth. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sports, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience working with diverse age groups. As a Sports Coordinator/Coach, you will create engaging programs, ensure safety protocols are followed, and motivate participants to achieve their personal best. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and deliver sports training sessions across multiple disciplines such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, martial arts (including karate and judo), and swimming. Lead sports teams in practices and competitions, fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development. Ensure all safety procedures are followed by supervising activities with proper use of AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and first aid/CPR certification. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and participants regarding schedules, progress, and behavioral expectations. Manage behavior and promote positive conduct among children during activities through effective behavior management techniques. Maintain equipment, facilities, and supplies related to sports programs to ensure a safe and organized environment. Provide coaching that emphasizes skill improvement, physical education principles, and fun engagement for all participants. Skills Proven experience in sports coaching with a strong background in team leadership and sports-specific training instruction. Lifeguard experience or swimming skills are highly desirable for aquatic program involvement. Knowledge of martial arts disciplines such as karate or judo; experience teaching physical education or working with children is preferred. Ability to teach various sports including soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing or gymnastics with enthusiasm and clarity. Strong communication skills for effective client (parent/guardian) interaction and team coordination. First aid and CPR certification along with AED operation knowledge to ensure participant safety at all times. Experience working with children or students in health clubs or gym environments; familiarity with behavior management techniques is a plus. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple activities simultaneously while maintaining high energy levels.
