Pay:
$15,000 stipend, paid over 10 months Essential Responsibilities Assist with gathering, compiling, and distributing athletic statistics, news, and feature content. Support game day operations, including statistics, scoring, media relations, and event coverage. Maintain and update athletics website content. Assist with video streaming, video editing, and social media initiatives. Coordinate with coaches and athletic staff to promote programs, student-athletes, and departmental achievements. Develop positive media exposure for athletic teams, coaches, and the Department of Athletics through various communication channels. Provide timely information to media outlets, campus stakeholders, and the public. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Working knowledge of NCAA and conference rules and a commitment to compliance. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience with website content management systems and athletic statistics software preferred. Proficiency with computer applications, social media platforms, graphic design, and video editing tools. Knowledge of sports communication trends and technologies. Strong understanding of the rules and operations of multiple sports. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines. Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by athletic schedules. Flexible availability, as work hours vary based on athletic events and seasonal demands. Part-time, 20 hours per week.
