Responsibilities Assist the restaurant management team in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth service flow from kitchen to front of house. Supervise and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service, fostering a positive and energetic work environment. Manage shift schedules, coordinate staff assignments, and ensure adequate coverage during busy periods. Support food preparation, cooking, and food handling processes to meet quality standards and safety regulations. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Control inventory levels by monitoring stock, conducting regular stock counts, and assisting with food management and ordering. Train new team members on food safety procedures, customer service protocols, and operational standards. Assist with budgeting, profit and loss analysis, and implementing cost control measures to maximize restaurant profitability. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food safety management and sanitation practices. Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels. Skills Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry standards. Demonstrated supervisory or assistant manager experience with skills in team management, staff training, and leadership development. Proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; basic math skills for cash handling and financial transactions. Extensive knowledge of inventory control, food safety management, and food handling procedures. Experience managing hospitality teams in casual dining or fine dining settings; banquet or catering experience is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to manage shifts effectively and coordinate between kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. Ability to analyze profit & loss statements, assist with budgeting efforts, and implement cost-saving initiatives. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food production, kitchen management, and staff training programs.
