This hands-on leader supports daily service, develops team members, maintains service standards, and partners with culinary and community teams to create a welcoming dining experience. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily front-of-house operations across multiple dining venues, ensuring readiness, smooth service, and a welcoming atmosphere.
- Lead, schedule, train, and coach servers, hosts, bartenders, and other dining room team members as applicable.
- Set clear expectations for hospitality, professionalism, communication, appearance, and resident engagement.
- Respond promptly and thoughtfully to resident and guest questions, concerns, and service-recovery needs.
- Coordinate with culinary leadership on reservations, pacing, menu changes, special requests, and service timing.
- Support special events, private functions, seasonal programming, and community-wide dining initiatives.
- Monitor staffing, supplies, cleanliness, opening and closing procedures, and overall operational readiness.
- Help ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, alcohol service where applicable, and community policies.
- Gather feedback and identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and the resident dining experience. Qualifications
- Experience in restaurant, hospitality, dining room, or food service supervision.
- Strong customer-service instincts and a genuine interest in serving older adults.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, organize service, and resolve concerns professionally.
- Excellent communication, follow-through, and attention to detail.
- Comfort working in a multi-venue environment with changing service needs.
- Food safety and service certifications as required; willingness to obtain any required credentials.
