Overview - Kitchen Manager We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations. This vital role involves managing food preparation, ensuring exceptional food quality, maintaining safety standards, and fostering a positive team environment. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for coordinating food production, supervising staff, controlling inventory, and ensuring efficient service in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Responsibilities - Kitchen Manager Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality standards are met consistently. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices. Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety protocols, proper food handling, and efficient cooking techniques to uphold hygiene standards. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth workflow during busy hours. Enforce food safety regulations and maintain compliance with health department standards through regular inspections. Lead team training initiatives to develop culinary skills, improve customer service, and foster a collaborative work environment. Conduct profit and loss analysis to optimize operational efficiency while controlling costs related to food production and labor. Support catering events, banquet services, or special functions as needed to enhance guest experiences. Engage in managerial communication with staff to promote clear expectations, feedback, and continuous improvement. Experience - Kitchen Manager Proven experience managing kitchens in quick service or fast food restaurants with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques. Demonstrated supervisory experience supervising hospitality teams or managing restaurant operations effectively. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly preferred. Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and food safety management is essential for success in this role. Prior casual dining or fine dining experience will be considered an asset; banquet or catering experience is a plus. Strong leadership skills with the ability to train staff, manage shifts efficiently, and communicate effectively across teams. Knowledge of the food industry standards including food handling regulations, sanitation practices, and customer service excellence.
