Job Summary Bar 3 BBQ and Brewing is looking for an experienced, motivated Assistant General Manager to help lead the day-to-day operations of our busy, locally owned restaurant in Belgrade, Montana. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in great hospitality, and understands what it takes to run a successful restaurant. The Assistant General Manager works closely with the General Manager to lead the team, maintain high standards, solve problems, and make sure every shift runs smoothly. We are looking for a leader who is comfortable being on the floor, working alongside the team, coaching employees, interacting with guests, and stepping in wherever needed. The right person will be organized, dependable, positive, and able to hold people accountable while helping create a workplace where employees enjoy coming to work. Key Responsibilities Assist the General Manager with all aspects of daily restaurant operations Lead and support front-of-house and back-of-house teams during service Help recruit, train, develop, and retain great employees Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable to Bar 3 standards Maintain a strong presence on the floor and actively support the team during busy periods Deliver excellent guest service and professionally resolve guest concerns Help manage employee scheduling and daily staffing needs Monitor labor and operating costs and assist management in meeting financial goals Maintain standards for food quality, cleanliness, safety, organization, and overall restaurant appearance Help oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily operational controls Ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed Identify operational problems and work with the General Manager to develop practical solutions Help build a positive, professional, team-oriented culture Step into the General Manager role and take responsibility for restaurant operations when the GM is unavailable Assist with catering and outside sales What We're Looking For The ideal candidate has previous restaurant management or strong restaurant supervisory experience and is ready to take on a significant leadership role.

Minimum of 3 years. Experience overseeing front-of-house service and employees. Bar-management and responsible alcohol-service experience strongly preferred. Catering, banquet, or event-management experience preferred. Working knowledge of restaurant scheduling, labor management, inventory, cash controls, and point-of-sale systems. Strong leadership, training, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle guest concerns with professionalism and good judgment. Current food-safety and alcohol-service certifications, or the ability to obtain them within the required timeframe. Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Ability to communicate effectively in English; additional language skills are beneficial.
