This role is perfect for a self-motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced, family-oriented environment, delivering exceptional guest experiences while supporting overall operations. As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a key role in driving the success of The Buzz by overseeing operations, customer service, events and facility management. Reporting to the General Manager, you will ensure a safe, clean, and exciting atmosphere that creates memorable moments for families. Prior experience in kids' entertainment, hospitality, or family venues is a strong asset. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a high-energy team to achieve company goals, fostering a positive and productive atmosphere while training employees on best practices.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service in person and over the phone, acting as an active listener with strong hospitality skills; greet guests enthusiastically, resolve complaints swiftly and satisfactorily, and handle difficult situations with calm professionalism.
  • Manage event planning and execution, including birthday parties, special events, and cafe operations, while communicating daily, weekly, and monthly goals to the team.
  • Oversee facility cleanliness and organization, circulating through arcade areas, play zones, cafe, and event spaces to maintain company standards throughout shifts.
  • Ensure all attractions, arcade games, climbing features, and equipment are regularly inspected, maintained, and documented for safe, maximum-capacity operation.
  • Handle sales transactions, cash reconciliation, POS systems, and enforce waiver policies in line with company standards.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, inventory management, supply restocking.
  • Promote a fun, inclusive vibe by encouraging team members and guests; assist with setup/breakdown for events and provide equipment support as needed.
  • Collaborate with management on business development, marketing strategies, safety protocols, and administrative tasks; abide by the company code of conduct.
  • Maintain favorable working relationships across the team to maximize morale, productivity, and efficiency. Education, Experience, and Skills Required
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in a managerial role, preferably in hospitality, family entertainment, or kids' facilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; strong organizational and time management skills with self-direction and sound judgment to handle multiple demands and adapt to changing needs.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, basic computer applications, and POS systems; strong math and verbal skills for effective communication.
  • Committed to excellence in customer service in a fast-paced environment; ability to generate enthusiasm while communicating clearly with guests and team members.
  • Availability to work weekends, weeknights, and holidays; must be friendly, able to smile frequently, and lift 25+ pounds. Must be comfortable on your feet for the majority of the shift.
  • Standard First Aid certification preferred; children/family experience is a plus but not required.
  • Proficient in English; able to articulate clear greetings, requests for assistance, farewells, and verbalize guest needs to team members.
  • Dressed in accordance with dress guidelines, looking neat, clean, and professional at all times; skilled at calmly responding to dissatisfied guests and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Strong work ethic and self-starting mentality, taking ownership of leadership responsibilities. Job Details
