Their previous nanny was with them for five years but was unfortunately unable to make the move to New Jersey, and they are hoping to find another wonderful caregiver who will stay and grow with their family for years to come. The family has two boys, ages 5 and 3 , and Mom is expecting their third child in just a few weeks. Mom will be home on maternity leave for the first several months, and Dad will also have some paternity leave. The Role During approximately the first six months , this will be a true nanny/house manager hybrid position . With the parents home for portions of this period and the older children in school, the nanny will work collaboratively with the parents and help wherever needed most.
Responsibilities will include:
Providing warm, attentive, developmentally appropriate care for the children Helping with morning and afternoon routines School drop-offs/pickups and transportation to activities as needed Engaging the children in age-appropriate play and activities Helping maintain schedules, backpacks, children's belongings and supplies Children's laundry and general family laundry as appropriate Tidying and organizing children's rooms, play areas and common spaces Dishes, kitchen cleanup and general daily household upkeep Running errands and helping keep the household organized Light meal preparation as needed Helping Mom with the baby and/or older children during maternity leave Working as a team with the parents and taking initiative wherever an extra set of hands is needed Once Mom returns to work and the nanny has primary responsibility for the baby during the day, the position will naturally shift to be more childcare-focused , while continuing to help keep the household organized when time allows. Who They Are Looking For The ideal candidate is a career nanny who is genuinely looking for a long-term home . This family values stability and wants to build the same type of trusting relationship they enjoyed with their previous nanny.
Candidates should have:
At least 3 years of professional, full-time nanny experience Infant experience strongly preferred Experience caring for multiple children Excellent, verifiable references A valid driver's license and strong, safe driving skills Ability to confidently transport children to school and activities Strong organizational and household-management skills A proactive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed Warmth, patience and genuine enjoyment of young children Ability to work collaboratively with parents, particularly during maternity/paternity leave Flexibility as the family's needs evolve with a new baby
Schedule & Compensation Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-6:00
PM Compensation:
$27
