About the role: We're looking for a hands-on Kitchen Manager to keep our back-of-house running like a well-oiled machine. You'll set the pace for food quality, safety, and consistency, and you'll do it by leading from the front — not from behind a clipboard. This role blends hands-on cooking, coaching, and problem-solving, and it's a great fit for someone who thrives on keeping a fast-paced kitchen organized and a team motivated. What You'll Own Run the kitchen during your scheduled shifts, jumping in wherever the team needs an extra pair of hands Know our standards, recipes, and training programs inside and out — and make sure your team does too Step in on guest concerns and turn a rough moment into a reason to come back Keep the kitchen clean, safe, and organized as a matter of daily habit, not a special occasion Cover gaps in service so the guest experience never skips a beat Show up on time, every time, and be ready to help out if something unexpected comes up Keep equipment in working order by following our maintenance and safety routines Coach and encourage every teammate, from new prep cooks to seasoned line cooks Treat hourly team members and fellow managers with the same respect, always What You Bring Current Food Handler's Certification (or equivalent required licensing) Experience training kitchen staff on brand and location-specific procedures A sharp eye for inventory — tracking food and supply levels before they run short Discipline around proper food storage and sanitation practices A genuine commitment to food-safety regulations and a clean working environment Comfort operating at full speed during a dinner rush Natural leadership instincts and a values-driven approach to managing people A knack for spotting friction points and solving them before they escalate An ear for guest feedback and a plan for acting on it Willingness to collaborate with the culinary team on menu tweaks Flexibility to multitask and pivot as priorities shift Openness to cross-training across stations Ability to pass a background check Availability for weekend, evening, and holiday shifts Reliable transportation and a track record of punctuality A Few More Expectations Follow company policies, practices, and procedures — current and future Stay current with all applicable regulations Take on additional duties as the role requires Keep interactions with colleagues professional and free of anything that could damage their reputation Follow safety protocols, including proper lifting form and required safety gear Physical & Work Environment Comfortable range of motion — reaching, bending, and stooping as part of daily tasks Able to lift and move objects of 50+ pounds, with frequency varying by shift Able to remain standing for extended stretches Solid hand and finger dexterity for food prep and chopping Good coordination and balance for repetitive motion and hand-eye/hand-foot tasks Able to grasp, turn, hold, and pull as needed throughout a shift Steady focus and sound judgment for routine decision-making Comfortable working around varying kitchen temperatures Adaptable to a changing work environment Equal Opportunity We're an equal-opportunity employer building a diverse and inclusive workplace. $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
