As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and dependable Manager to take a leadership role in our pizzeria. Job Description The Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pizzeria and ensuring that the restaurant runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably. This position leads and develops the team, maintains high standards for food quality and customer service, manages labor and inventory, and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys working alongside their team, takes pride in creating an excellent guest experience, and understands what it takes to run a successful restaurant. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the pizzeria, including opening, closing, service, and overall restaurant performance. Lead, supervise, train, and motivate staff to create a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment. Ensure consistent food quality, portion control, preparation standards, and excellent customer service. Manage staff scheduling, labor costs, and daily staffing needs. Monitor inventory levels, place orders, receive deliveries, and minimize food waste and product loss. Maintain appropriate food costs and labor costs while meeting sales and profitability goals. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, food handling, and sanitation regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming environment for both customers and employees. Handle customer questions, concerns, and complaints professionally and effectively. Monitor daily sales, cash handling, and operational procedures. Help develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve the overall guest experience. Support local marketing, promotions, catering, and community events. Hold team members accountable to company standards, policies, and expectations. Conduct staff training and hiring new employees. Communicate effectively with ownership regarding staffing, sales, operational challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Lead by example and be willing to work alongside the team during busy periods. Help create a positive workplace culture where employees feel valued, supported, and motivated to do their best work. Qualifications Previous management experience in the food service or restaurant industry, preferably in a pizzeria or similar fast-paced establishment. Strong leadership and team-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to confidently make decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience with scheduling, labor management, inventory, and cost control. Knowledge of food safety, health, and sanitation standards. Ability to train, coach, and hold employees accountable while maintaining a positive work environment. Customer-service focused with a genuine passion for hospitality and great food. Ability to multitask and remain calm and effective during busy service periods. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in hospitality or business management is a plus.
