Position Overview The Travel Advisor is responsible for designing, coordinating, and managing exceptional travel experiences from initial consultation through the traveler's return home. This position requires an experienced travel professional who is highly organized, detail-oriented, knowledgeable about the world, and comfortable managing the complexities that can arise throughout the travel process. The ideal candidate takes genuine pleasure in the logistics of travel , has a strong interest in history, geography, and languages , and approaches each client interaction with professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion. Key Responsibilities Consult with clients to understand their travel preferences, interests, and expectations. Design and coordinate customized leisure travel itineraries. Manage complex travel arrangements, including transportation, accommodations, activities, and other trip components. Maintain meticulous attention to detail throughout the planning and booking process. Anticipate potential challenges and proactively develop solutions. Provide attentive client service before, during, and after travel. Remain available to assist travelers when unexpected travel challenges arise, including outside normal business hours when necessary. Maintain strong relationships with clients and travel partners. Stay informed about destinations, travel products, industry developments, and international travel requirements. Continue developing destination knowledge through research, professional development, and educational travel opportunities. Qualifications Previous professional experience as a Travel Advisor, Travel Consultant, or similar travel-industry role . Strong knowledge of leisure travel and demonstrated familiarity with domestic and international destinations. Well-traveled with a genuine interest in world cultures, history, geography, and languages. Exceptional organizational and attention-to-detail skills. Strong customer service and relationship-management experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A polished, diplomatic, and professional demeanor. Ability to manage multiple complex itineraries and competing priorities. Ability to remain calm, resourceful, and solutions-oriented when unexpected travel issues arise. Willingness to provide on-call assistance to travelers when travel disruptions or other urgent situations require it.
