Job Summary We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Waiter/Waitress to join our Greek and Lebanese restaurant team! We take pride in providing our guests with delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and attentive service. We are primarily looking for full-time employees but are also open to part-time applicants. We welcome both experienced servers and individuals who are eager to learn, as previous serving experience is preferred but not required. We are looking for team players who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, support their coworkers, and help create a positive dining experience for every guest. Weekend availability is strongly preferred. Applicants with previous bartending experience are especially encouraged to apply, as we are looking for individuals who can assist with both serving and bartending when needed. Duties Greet guests warmly, provide attentive customer service, and create a welcoming dining experience. Take accurate food and beverage orders, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations to guests. Learn and memorize menu items, ingredients, and specials to confidently assist customers with their selections. Serve food, beverages, and alcoholic drinks promptly and professionally while maintaining quality service in a fast-paced environment. Use the restaurant's register and point-of-sale (POS) system to enter orders, process payments, and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately. Maintain clean and organized dining areas by clearing and resetting tables, wiping surfaces, and keeping the restaurant presentable. Assist with bussing tables when a dedicated busser is unavailable to ensure smooth restaurant operations. Assist with opening and closing procedures once properly trained. Follow restaurant cleanliness, food safety, and responsible alcohol service guidelines. Work closely with other servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to maintain an efficient workflow, especially during busy shifts. Assist with bartending duties when needed, including beverage preparation and service, depending on experience and training. Support and assist less-experienced team members with serving or bartending duties when appropriate. Perform additional restaurant duties as needed to support daily operations. Skills & Qualifications Friendly, positive attitude with strong customer service and communication skills. Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with others as part of a team. Willingness to learn, take direction, memorize the menu, and become comfortable with restaurant procedures. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain a sense of urgency during busy periods. Comfortable learning to use a register, POS system, and credit card processing machine. Ability to handle cash accurately, calculate change, and maintain accuracy when handling customer payments. Ability to maintain a clean, tidy, and professional work environment. Weekend availability is strongly preferred; flexibility with scheduling is a plus. Previous serving or restaurant experience is beneficial but not required. Paid training is available for motivated applicants who are willing to learn. Previous bartending experience is a strong plus, especially for candidates interested in helping with both serving and bartending responsibilities. Must possess the applicable alcohol server permit or certification required for the position.
