Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of food and drink options. Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted. Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms. Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Maintain thorough knowledge of our menu offerings, including wine pairings, spirits, and food safety protocols. Ensure proper sanitation and food handling practices are followed at all times in compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to deliver timely service and resolve any guest concerns promptly. Assist in setting up dining areas before service and cleaning after closing shifts to uphold cleanliness standards. Foster positive guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing questions about menu items, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous. Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Ability to process cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices required for safe food handling. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and strong communication abilities. Basic math skills for calculating bills, tips, and processing sales transactions smoothly. Culinary experience or food industry background is desirable but not mandatory; a passion for hospitality is essential. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed during shifts.
