Job Description

Overview:

As the Patient Benefits Specialist, you will serve as the primary liaison for patients navigating the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) and the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA). This entry-level role in the Experience Department focuses on offering exceptional patient assistance, collaborating with teams across the organization, and ensuring clear communication both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
Guidance and Liaison Role:
Act as the primary point of contact for patients regarding their medical-card benefits, providing clear explanations of the
EEOICPA/RECA
programs.
Data Management:
Accurately input and maintain patient records using strong computer skills and CRM systems. Maintain HIPAA privacy and confidentiality. Requesting Medical Records. Relationship Building +
Clear Communication:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, authorized representatives, case managers, and internal teams.
Customer Service Excellence:
Provide outstanding customer service, striving to continuously improve patient satisfaction
Professional Representation:
Represent the company professionally, ensuring patients receive the support they need.
Qualifications:
Familiarity with
EEOICPA/RECA
programs or a willingness to undergo training. Prior customer service experience, especially in telephone communication. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and CRM systems (or willingness and ability to learn). Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Must pass a criminal background check.
Pay Range:
USD $22.00 - USD $24.00 /Hr.
