In this energetic role, you will support various HR functions, ensuring seamless operations that empower our workforce and align with strategic organizational goals. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help drive talent management initiatives, employee engagement, and HR compliance efforts across the organization. You will also provide internal and external customer service, interacting with employees and directing them to the appropriate resources to resolve HR issues. Duties Assist with talent acquisition processes, including sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, and coordinating onboarding activities such as employee orientation and training programs. Support benefits administration by processing enrollments, updates, and inquiries, ensuring accurate data entry within HRIS. Contribute to employee relations efforts by handling confidential information with integrity, supporting performance management initiatives, and facilitating communication between staff and management. Aid in compliance management by maintaining records related to employment law (such as FMLA and OSHA), workers' compensation, affirmative action planning, and regulatory adherence. Assist in project management tasks related to HR initiatives such as succession planning, organization design, and workforce management strategies. Support HR department activities by preparing reports through Excel data analysis, managing HR systems, and maintaining personnel administration documentation. Participate in and attend related meetings and events as necessary. Experience Proven experience in an HR department role or similar administrative capacity supporting human resources functions. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently using project management tools. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally. Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite along with experience using HRIS platforms like Paylocity for payroll processing. Prior experience in employee evaluation processes, training & development programs, and benefits administration will set you apart. Knowledge State and federal employment laws and/or the source of information, preferred. Office procedures and alphabetical filing. Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and databases. Confidentiality rules, especially those specific to the HR function. Skills Organizing materials and documents. Developing and maintaining professional relationships. Communicating orally and in writing, including demonstrated skill in reading and interpreting documents, writing reports, and speaking effectively to individuals and in group settings. Basic to intermediate mathematics, sufficient to perform simple calculations.
Ability to:
Respond to general questions regarding employee benefits, policies, and collective labor agreements. Display a high degree of judgment, discretion, and confidentiality. Maintain cooperative professional relationships with customers, peers, supervisors, managers, and the community in general, while projecting a professional image through in-person and telephone interaction. Manage multiple priorities and work accurately and independently in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision and adapt to change. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and partners, especially during difficult and stressful situations. Attend work as scheduled and/or required.
