Job Overview Bayshire Senior Communities is seeking a dynamic and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our team and drive our HR initiatives forward. In this role, you will be the cornerstone of our human capital management efforts in the expanding Illinois market, ensuring seamless talent acquisition, employee engagement, and compliance with employment laws. Details of this Position This is a remote, field-based position that requires frequent travel throughout the Southern Illinois market. While administrative work may be completed remotely, the majority of your time will be spent on the road and onsite at our Skilled Nursing (SNF) and Assisted Living (AL) communities, with travel expected on most workdays. Candidates must be comfortable with frequent, near-daily travel between community locations and should understand that regular onsite presence is an essential part of this role. A reliable source of transportation is required. Business-related mileage is reimbursed in accordance with Company policy. Duties Lead talent acquisition efforts by sourcing candidates through various channels, conducting interviews, and managing the onboarding process to attract top talent. Oversee employee orientation programs to ensure new hires integrate smoothly into the organization. Manage employee evaluation processes, including performance management systems and feedback cycles, to promote continuous development. Administer benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks, ensuring accurate benefits administration. Support change management initiatives by facilitating organizational design projects and workforce management strategies. Handle employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality, mediating conflicts and promoting a positive work environment. Maintain compliance with employment & labor laws, HR legal standards, and regulatory requirements such as FMLA and workers' compensation policies. Utilize HR systems (including HRIS platforms like Oracle HCM) for data collection, reporting, and analytics to support strategic decision-making. Coordinate training & development programs to enhance skills across teams and foster a culture of continuous learning. Assist in affirmative action planning, succession planning, and diversity initiatives to promote an inclusive workplace. Requirements Proven experience in human resources management or HR department roles with a strong understanding of employment law in talent management. Demonstrated expertise in human capital management, change management, and workforce planning. Proficiency in HR sourcing tools such as Paycom and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel data analysis). Strong communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly. Skilled in conflict management, employee relations, and personnel administration. Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration is highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously using project management techniques. Knowledge of employment & labor law compliance requirements across various jurisdictions. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry and record-keeping tasks. $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
