What You Will Be Doing:
As the Onboarding Specialist for Recruiting, you will make the first impression on new candidates as you assist them with clearing pre-employment requirements and onboarding. You will coordinate with third party vendors to ensure timeliness of results and keep hiring managers updated throughout the process. You will also support the recruiting team with administrative tasks, such as managing job requisitions and responding to application status checks.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:
60% - Facilitate the onboarding process of all new hires by running and reviewing background checks; scheduling and reviewing pre-employment drug tests and physicals; and sending and monitoring completion of onboarding documents. Keep hiring managers abreast of progress and troubleshoot any delays in the onboarding process. 15% - Ensure that form I9 and E-verify processes are completed within a timely manner. 10% - Follow-up with candidates and vendors on status of outstanding items. 10% - Complete various administrative tasks such as creating/closing job postings and answering application status check phone calls. 5% - Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
Excellent communication skills with the ability to successfully and professionally interact with a diverse range of personalities and skill sets. Ability to quickly learn and use multiple websites and systems. Proven organizational and follow-up skills. Ability to multitask in an efficient and effective manner.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Experience with UKG's Recruiting Gateway and Onboarding Gateway. Experience with E-verify and I9 document verification. Experience with
Microsoft Excel:
ability to create spreadsheets, enter data, and create simple functions. Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish fluently.
Environmental Job Requirements Environment:
Most of your time will be spent in an office environment with possible noise and vibrations carried over from the shop.
Physical:
Able to lift, carry, and lower up to 15 lbs.
Travel:
Some travel to Yancey's corporate location may be required.
