Human Resources Generalist Department:
Human Resources Reports to: Human Resources Director Job Summary The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for coordinating and administering the day-to-day operations of the HR Department. Operating under the direction of the Human Resources Director, this role supports a wide range of functions including benefits, recruitment, onboarding, employee support, HRIS administration, recordkeeping, compliance, and workforce development. The HR Generalist serves as a trusted resource to employees and supervisors, ensuring HR policies and programs are administered consistently across the organization. While the HR Director retains overall accountability for strategic workforce planning and high-level initiatives, the Generalist is expected to independently manage assigned operational tasks, exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and escalate complex or high-risk matters. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Duties/Responsibilities Benefits Administration
  • Coordinate the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs.
  • Process benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and separations.
  • Perform monthly benefits reconciliations and partner with Payroll to ensure deduction accuracy.
  • Support annual open enrollment activities. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Coordinate recruitment activities for open positions.
  • Coordinate with marketing department to advertise open positions.
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communications.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Ensure completion of employment documentation. Employee Support & Employee Relations
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies and programs.
  • Assist with employee relations matters and workplace concerns.
  • Support investigations through fact gathering and documentation.
  • Assist with employee engagement and recognition initiatives. HRIS & Records Management
  • Maintain employee records and HRIS data.
  • Process employee status changes and employment transactions.
  • Conduct periodic audits of personnel files.
  • Prepare routine HR reports and workforce metrics. Compliance
  • Support compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Training & Workforce Development
  • Facilitate workforce training program to include but not limited to: training records, certifications and qualification documentation.
  • Support leadership development initiatives and performance management programs. Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources, benefits administration, employee relations, workforce development, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools to improve productivity, research, communication, analysis, and administrative efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Additional coursework, professional certifications, or post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field is beneficial but not required. Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain seated or stationary for extended periods while performing office-based work.
  • Must be able to lift and carry files, and office supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Periodic travel between company locations and field visits may be required.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
