Responsible for supervising groups of clients to which assigned: adult day habilitation (Jacob's Ladder), pre-vocational/vocational skills training , work/training, activity room, work in-center (enclaves), and/or mobile work crews. Ensures safety and well-being of clients. Responsible for ensuring safety and efficient operation of equipment and the classroom/activity room/training and/or work area used for providing services to clients. Responsible for supervising other staff and volunteers working in assigned areas. Develops, coordinates, and assists in implementation of daily activities schedule on a weekly basis for clients participating in assigned work areas. Responsible for assisting Adult Services Coordinator/QIDP in performing QIDP duties and may, in the absence of Adult Services Coordinator/QIDP, be required to serve as QIDP on-duty at assigned facility. Serves as resource to other direct care employees and may be instructed by Program Coordinator to provide "on-the-job" training to other direct care employees specific to understanding goals and objectives identified in client's individual service plans. May be required to transport clients. May be required to work in any STARC-operated facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Instructs, trains, and assists clients on an individual basis, in areas of community living skills, social skills, self-help skills, and other pre-vocational and/or vocational/work skills that may be specific and unique to the needs of the client and to the general benefit of a group of clients. Provides for daily needs of clients in accordance with their functional levels and abilities. Maintains open communications and working relationships with all program/services personnel, parents, professionals, and persons in the community with whom STARC conducts business. Ensures quality of activities in accordance with demonstrated abilities and interests of clients participating in adult day programs. Effectively utilizes Behavior Management techniques to teach and modify client behavior. Maintains accurate attendance records as per established policies and procedures. Identifies significant information pertaining to client's daily program operations and communicates effectively through client tracking charts, daily client reports, incident reports, injury reports, conferences, individual habilitation meetings, etc. Plans the daily activities for clients in assigned work areas on a weekly basis and instructs other staff in implementation of activities. Assists clients and/or performs job tasks as necessary to assure that all psycho-social needs of the clients are satisfactorily met. Requisitions, receives, and assumes responsibility for equipment and supplies needed in provision of services to clients in adult day programs. Supervises other staff working in assigned areas to ensure that duties are performed, and all the needs of the clients are being met. May assist in conducting, as instructed by Adult Services Coordinator/QIDP, client assessments to determine the individual client's strengths and training needs. May serve as a member of the client's interdisciplinary team. Assists Adult Services Coordinator/QIDP, as needed, in performance of QIDP duties (Backup QIDP). In absence of Adult Services Coordinator/QIDP and Adult Services Administrator, serves as QIPD on-duty at assigned facility. Serves as resource to other direct care employees. At direction of Program Coordinator, provides "on-the-job" training to other direct care employees specific to understanding goals and objectives identified in client's individual service plans.

Day Programs Heavy Work:
Job tasks are classified as heavy work that requires occasional lifting of 50
100 pounds and frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and otherwise moving objects of 25
50 pounds.
Requires frequent walking, standing, stooping, and bending.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
