Position Introduction:
Join the National Resource Center for Youth Services (NRCYS) at the University of Oklahoma (College of Continuing Education/Outreach) and be part of a team dedicated to improving the effectiveness of human services through training, consultation, and technical assistance in Oklahoma and across the nation for over 50 years. NRCYS is a leader in youth service philosophy, best practices, and youth engagement. This position coordinates logistical functions associated with planning, preparing, and delivering training and meetings for statewide and virtual events. Communicates, coordinates, and collaborates regarding logistical processes with other NRCYS functional units, contracted providers/vendors, customers, and relevant University departments to support the state and national initiatives of the NRCYS. Creates, updates, and manages various training schedule sheets in Excel, applying formulas, filters, and formatting to streamline workflow. Plans and attends internal and external meetings, including but not limited to NRCYS Staff Meetings, Contract/Project Meetings, and University meetings as needed. Communicates and collaborates with internal and external customers and trainers through meetings, telephone, and email correspondence. Assists in gathering data, preparing reports, and processing invoices. Writes reports, professional correspondence, and other project-related documents. Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree. 6 months of experience in early childhood, elementary, or professional programs.
Equivalency/Substitution:
Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 54 months of related experience.
Department Preferences Department Preferred Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6-24 months of experience.
Department Preferred Skills and Proficiencies:
General office and customer service skills. Ability to schedule and facilitate virtual events using Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Proficient in Qualtrics, PowerPoint, and MailChimp. Strong working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and managing and editing PDFs. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as a team player.
