Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, strong customer service skills, and the ability to handle various breeds and sizes of dogs. This position is essential in ensuring a safe and clean environment for pets while providing exceptional care. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and other facilities. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management. Assist with animal restraint during grooming. Provide excellent customer service to pet owners during drop-off and pick-up times. Support dog training sessions as needed, ensuring positive reinforcement techniques are used. Handle animals safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort and security. Assist with administrative tasks related to pet care records and scheduling. Requirements Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred but not required. Knowledge of animal behavior and restraint techniques is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be physically capable of lifting and handling animals of various sizes.
