Job description We are seeking an experienced Bather/Brusher to join our team. This role is a rewarding one, working with companion animals to complete detailed baths and brush outs on small to extra large breed dogs, as well as cats. Complete nail trims, Furminator treatments, and full brush outs on pets including long coats and undercoats. You will take pride in seeing your clients walk out the door looking like they are ready for the red carpet. This is a great position for someone who has an interest or is in school to be a groomer! Bather Brushers are also traditionally trained to work the kennels at the facility including: sanitizing accommodations, feeding, watering, exercising and cleaning the animals.

Responsibilities:

Complete detailed baths and brush outs of animals boarded at our facility or dropped off for these services Complete medicated baths and Furminator treatments Complete nail trims and nail grinds Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all grooming areas, cleaning equipment multiple times daily Sanitize accommodations. Feed, water, exercise and clean the animals. Work well with other teammates and demonstrate initiative to help Other duties, responsibilities and maint as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of formal work experience completing detailed baths and brush outs on pets Prior bathing, brushing or grooming experience preferred Ability to work weekends and at least a half day on all holidays Available to work 20-40 hour work week including vacation black out period during peak season from May 1- Sept 14 Ability to develop an understanding of animal behavior Interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Passion to create a friendly, home environment for our animals
