Job Description

We are seeking Kennel Assistants to join our team! We are looking for hard workers who can handle a fast paced environment that is full of love from our furry and feathered guests. You will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of the animals at our facility, providing a home away from home. We are looking for enthusiastic team members that work hard and bring a positive attitude each day. Dependability is key to success in this position. We are currently seeking both full-time candidates. Seasonal workers are welcome

Responsibilities:

Upholding the sanitation and care process daily at or above the standards of the facility. Handle general care tasks such as feeding, walking, playtime, bathing and basic brush outs of the animals Cleaning/Sanitizing kenneling facilities and equipment multiple times daily according to the standards of the facility Responsible for the care, contentment and welfare of the animals in the facility Keep records of animal feedings, exercise, and other updates Engage in play activities and exercise with the animals daily. Maintain a clean and healthy environment Work well with other teammates and demonstrates professionalism Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

Previous experience in animal care or other related fields a plus If applying for part-time must be available to work 15+ hours per work week. Hours increase during peak holiday and summer season. Full-time associates work 40 hours a week. We are open on weekends and holidays so availability to work these days is a requirement. A vacation black out period during peak season from May 15 - Sept 14 is included. Passion to create a friendly, home environment for our animals and clientele Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ability to bring a positive attitude and ongoing focus on responsibilities to the facility with teammates, management and pets. Because we are caring for pets, reliability and dependability is requires for this position Initiative to learn the standards of the facility, exceed those standards and help the total team during slow times are critical Ability to develop an understanding of animal behavior Interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
