About us Ascension Groomery is a small grooming salon in Saint Amant, LA. We are professional, agile and customer-oriented. We have plenty of current clientele, readily available to fill up a schedule

• full or part time.

We supply the work station, electric grooming table and supplies/equipment needed to bathe.

Duties:

• Provide professional pet grooming services to clients' pets, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to breed standards or client preferences.
• Perform basic grooming tasks such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing.
• Assess the condition of pets' coats, skin, and overall health and communicate any concerns or recommendations to pet owners.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, including proper sanitation of grooming tools and equipment.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during the grooming process, including proper handling and restraint techniques.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and requests in a friendly and professional manner.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years experience in pet grooming is required. Willingness to learn and develop grooming skills is essential.
• Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming requirements.
• Familiarity with basic grooming care such as nail trimming and ear cleaning.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and understand their grooming preferences.
• Ability to handle pets of various sizes and temperaments with patience and compassion.
• Physical stamina to stand for a period of time and perform lifting when necessary.
• Saturday availability: 3 a month, Required.
