Must be able to work Sundays. This is not a seasonal position. We are accepting applicants for part time with the possibility of becoming a full time position. No phone calls will be accepted. Town Dog, located in Andover, MA, is a busy off-leash dog daycare, boarding & grooming facility that sees upwards of 90 dogs per day in our daycare. All Dog Handlers work side by side with teammates to create a safe and fun environment for our canine guests. Safety is our #1 priority! Interest in learning about dog behavior, body language and basic obedience training is a must. We are a daycare team of 20 strong, dog loving individuals who pride ourselves in working together to provide the very best in animal care. Teamwork is dreamwork! This is an active position that requires you to be on your feet, communicate with your teammates and engage with the dogs. This is not a 9-5 job: Applicants must be available for a minimum of 18 hours. While we do our best to accommodate your schedule preferences, we do require availability to cover some morning, afternoon, weekend, overnight and holiday shifts. We are happy to discuss in more detail!
We seek:
Consistent and timely attendance - if you call in sick frequently or have a habit of not punching in on time, this is NOT the job for you! Reliable transportation is an absolute must for consistent and timely attendance. Excellent communicator. We are a team and communication is key in keeping the operations going. Proactive, attentive and engaged individuals.
Applicant Qualifications:
Ability to work flexible days & hours including major holidays, weekends and overnights. Ability to work Sundays are a must! Ability to work cohesively with others in a team environment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and have great hand eye coordination. Must be able to spend 6 or more hours on your feet. Must be able to follow our safety protocols. Supervise and engage with dogs in a safe and fun environment, ensuring their well-being and comfort. Assist in feeding, watering, and exercising dogs as needed. Maintain cleanliness of the facility Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive experience for all dogs and their owners.
Pay:
$17.50 - $18.50 per hour
