The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and provide exceptional grooming services to our furry clients. As a Pet Bather, you will be responsible for ensuring that pets are clean, comfortable, and well-cared for during their grooming sessions. This role requires a combination of technical skills and customer service to create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Responsibilities Bathe, rinse, and dry pets using appropriate techniques and products. Brush and comb fur to remove tangles and mats while ensuring the comfort of the animal. Trim nails and clean ears as part of the grooming process. Monitor the health and behavior of pets during bathing sessions, reporting any concerns to management. Maintain cleanliness in the bathing area, including washing towels, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing surfaces. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare. Assist with animal restraint when necessary to ensure safety during grooming procedures. Handle various breeds of dogs and cats with care, demonstrating strong animal handling skills. Qualifications Previous experience in animal care or pet grooming is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when handling larger pets or equipment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Experience in kennel or veterinary settings is a plus. Must be comfortable working with various types of animals, including dogs, cats, and potentially equine species.
