Job Title:

Animal Caretaker P/T (2-3days/week)

Job Summary:

PART TIME

(2-3 days per week) We are seeking a dedicated Animal Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal welfare and possess a strong understanding of animal physiology and behavior. As an Animal Caretaker, you will be responsible for the well-being and care of various animals, including cats, dogs, goats, chickens, and other animals under our supervision. Must be over 18 years of age

Responsibilities:

• Perform animal handling and restraint with care and compassion
• Provide basic veterinary assistance such as administering medications and monitoring health
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in animal living areas
• Feed and water animals according to schedules
• Monitor animal behavior for signs of distress or illness
• Engage in pet grooming activities as needed
• Handle dogs and other animals with different temperaments safely
• Oversee kennel operations and ensure a safe environment for all animals

Experience:

• Proven experience in animal handling and restraint techniques
• Knowledge of animal physiology and behavior
• Experience working with equines is a plus
• Previous experience as a veterinary assistant is advantageous
• Familiarity with pet sitting practices is beneficial
• Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and breeds confidently
