Animal Caretaker P/T (2-3days/week)Job Summary:
PART TIME
(2-3 days per week) We are seeking a dedicated Animal Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal welfare and possess a strong understanding of animal physiology and behavior. As an Animal Caretaker, you will be responsible for the well-being and care of various animals, including cats, dogs, goats, chickens, and other animals under our supervision. Must be over 18 years of ageResponsibilities:
- Perform animal handling and restraint with care and compassion
- Provide basic veterinary assistance such as administering medications and monitoring health
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in animal living areas
- Feed and water animals according to schedules
- Monitor animal behavior for signs of distress or illness
- Engage in pet grooming activities as needed
- Handle dogs and other animals with different temperaments safely
- Oversee kennel operations and ensure a safe environment for all animals
Experience:
- Proven experience in animal handling and restraint techniques
- Knowledge of animal physiology and behavior
- Experience working with equines is a plus
- Previous experience as a veterinary assistant is advantageous
- Familiarity with pet sitting practices is beneficial
- Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and breeds confidently
