Midday Dog Walker (Part-Time, W-2 Employee) Bull City Pet Care has been caring for Durham pets since 2009, and we are looking for dependable, animal-loving humans to join our team as Midday Dog Walkers . This is a part-time, W-2 employee position with training and opportunities to grow. About the Role Midday Dog Walkers provide weekday walks and care visits for clients who rely on us when they cannot be home. Our clients book services multiple days per week, so consistency matters and familiar faces are important. You will work independently in the field with the support of an experienced team behind you. Training is provided. Schedule Requirements Please read carefully. To be considered, you must have: Availability between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM A minimum of two hours per day during that window Availability on at least three weekdays, Monday through Friday Reliable, consistent availability week to week This role is ideal for someone seeking steady midday work rather than full-time hours. Transportation Requirements You must have your own reliable, insured vehicle , a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record. This role requires driving between multiple client homes throughout Durham. You must live within our service area. Long cross-town commutes do not work well in this role. What You Will Be Doing Walking dogs and providing midday care visits Handling dogs of various sizes, including large non-aggressive dogs up to 80 pounds Following detailed client instructions and company standards Communicating through our scheduling and messaging app Representing Bull City Pet Care with professionalism and good judgment Yes, this includes picking up poop, wiping muddy paws, and occasionally dealing with vomit. What We Need From You At least 21 years old and eligible to work in the U.S. No history of larceny or felony convictions. We check. Comfortable working independently while knowing when to ask for help Able to walk multiple dogs and work outdoors in all seasons Detail-oriented, reliable, and communicative A smartphone with a data plan for scheduling, directions, and communication We build long-term relationships with our clients.
