If you love dogs, cats and other furry friends, enjoy being active, and want meaningful, consistent work in the middle of the day, this might be for you. This is not gig work. This is professional pet care. This is a part-time, W-2 employee position with training and opportunities to grow. About the Role Pet Sitters provide in home visits with dog walks and care visits for clients who rely on us when they cannot be home. Our clients book services multiple days per week, so consistency matters and familiar faces are important. You will work independently in the field with the support of an experienced team behind you. Training is provided. Schedule Requirements Please read carefully. To be considered, you must have: Availability between 6AM-9:30AM and 4:00 PM-10PM M-F and Open Weekend Availability A minimum of two hours per day during those windows Availability on at least three consistent days Reliable, consistent availability week to week This role is ideal for someone seeking steady part-time work rather than full-time hours. Transportation Requirements You must have your own reliable, insured vehicle , a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record. This role requires driving between multiple client homes throughout Durham. You must live within our service area (Durham). Long cross-town commutes do not work well in this role. What You Will Be Doing Providing in home care for Cats and Smaller animals Walking dogs and providing midday care visits Handling dogs of various sizes, including large non-aggressive dogs up to 80 pounds Following detailed client instructions and company standards Communicating through our scheduling and messaging app Representing Bull City Pet Care with professionalism and good judgment Yes, this includes scooping boxes, picking up poop, wiping muddy paws, and occasionally dealing with vomit. What We Need From You At least 21 years old and eligible to work in the U.S. No history of larceny or felony convictions. We check. Comfortable working independently while knowing when to ask for help Able to walk multiple dogs and work outdoors in all seasons Detail-oriented, reliable, and communicative A smartphone with a data plan for scheduling, directions, and communication We build long-term relationships with our clients.
