Experienced dog groomer wanted. Commission on every groom, 100% of your tips, and a new owner actively spending money to keep your chair full. We are specifically looking for a groomer who speaks both Spanish and English. petbar Indian Trail is a boutique grooming and self-wash studio in Union County, under new ownership since August. We have two established groomers and we are adding a third. Not a big-box store, not a chain — small team, no politics, and you talk to the owner directly, not a district manager.

WHY WE NEED SPANISH A

significant share of our community is Spanish-speaking, and right now we cannot serve those clients properly at the counter or in a consultation. That is a gap in the business and it is not fair to those clients. We are hiring to close it. If you are a bilingual groomer, you have almost certainly been doing this for free at every job you have ever had — translating for coworkers, taking the phone calls nobody else can take, calming the client nobody else can talk to. WHAT YOU'LL EARN

• Commission on every groom you perform
• 100% of your tips, paid through payroll. We never hold them, split them, or take a house cut
• Hourly pay for any non-grooming scheduled hours — closing, admin, training

THE PACE, HONESTLY

Six to seven dogs a day is the baseline for this role. Our strongest groomers run nine to ten on a busy Saturday, and if that is you, we want to talk — you will earn accordingly, because it is commission. We are telling you the numbers up front so nobody is surprised in week two. But understand the order of priorities here: quality and the dog's welfare come first, always. We would rather you did seven dogs properly than ten badly. If a dog needs more time, it gets more time.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Full grooms: bath, dry, brush out, haircuts, breed-standard and custom styling, nails, ears, sanitary trims
• Consult with the owner at drop-off and hand their dog back yourself at pick-up
• Recommend add-ons and memberships where they genuinely suit the dog. No hard selling
• Keep your station and the shared areas clean to our standard
• Flag any skin, coat, ear or behaviour concern to the owner and to management

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Fluent in Spanish and English. This is a genuine requirement of the role, tied to the consultation and front-counter work described above — not a preference
• Minimum 5 years of professional grooming experience
• Confident across breeds, coat types and sizes, including large dogs
• Able to sustain 6-7 dogs a day without cutting corners
• Calm, patient handling
• Reliable. Shows up, on time, every scheduled shift
• Comfortable with a computer-based booking and POS system

NICE TO HAVE

• Grooming certification or formal training
• Cat grooming — we turn cat work away every week
• An existing client following
• Experience mentoring bathers or junior groomers

SCHEDULE

Full time, 5 to 6 days a week including Saturdays — our busiest day. Some weeks are five days, some are six, depending on the book. Shifts are published ahead of the week, not sprung on you. If a six-day week is a dealbreaker for you, tell us now rather than after you start. We would rather know.
