Job Description
Love dogs? Get paid to work with them all day. No grooming experience needed — we will teach you. petbar Indian Trail is a boutique dog grooming and self-wash studio in Union County, under new ownership. We are looking for a bather and grooming assistant to work alongside our groomers — the person who gets the dog clean, dry and comfortable so the groomer can do their best work. This is a real entry point into grooming. If you turn out to be good at this and you want it, we will train you toward becoming a groomer here.

good share of our clients are Spanish-speaking, and we are actively trying to serve them better. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Bathe, rinse and dry dogs of every size and coat type
- Brush out, deshed, and prep dogs for the groomer
- Nails, ears, and basic sanitary work once you are trained
- Walk dogs out for potty breaks and keep them calm and safe in the kennels
- Greet clients at drop-off and pick-up, and answer the phone when the desk is busy
- Keep the tubs, dryers, tools and floors clean — a clean shop is most of the job
- Laundry, restocking, and helping self-wash clients
- Tell a groomer or the owner straight away if a dog seems stressed, sore, or off
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Genuine comfort around dogs of all sizes, including big ones and nervous ones. This is the one thing we cannot teach
- Physically up for it — on your feet all shift, lifting dogs up to 80 lbs (with help for the big ones), and you will get wet
- Reliable. Shows up, on time, every scheduled shift. This matters more here than experience does
- Willing to learn and take direction from the groomers
- 18 or over
- Available Saturdays — our busiest day No grooming experience required.
Kennel, vet's office, daycare, shelter or fostering experience all help. If you have none of that but you are good with dogs and you show up, we will teach you the rest.

SCHEDULE
