Duties Safely bathe, dry, and groom pets, including trimming coats, nails, and performing breed-specific styling Handle animals gently and confidently during bathing and grooming procedures to ensure comfort and safety Restrain animals appropriately using animal restraint techniques to facilitate grooming tasks Communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming needs, special instructions, and aftercare advice Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations and equipment to uphold hygiene standards Assist with pet handling during check-ins or drop-offs, ensuring proper animal handling and safety protocols are followed Support additional pet care tasks such as kennel cleaning or light animal handling as needed Qualifications Prior experience in pet grooming or pet handling is highly preferred; certifications in pet coat styling are a plus Knowledge of dog training, veterinary experience, or veterinary technician background is advantageous Experience with animal restraint techniques and heavy lifting required for handling larger animals or equipment Strong communication skills for engaging with pet owners and team members effectively Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for animals Familiarity with kennel operations, pet sitting, or animal care roles enhances suitability for this position Physical stamina for standing long hours, lifting heavy objects or animals safely, and performing repetitive grooming tasks Embark on a rewarding career where your love for animals makes a difference!
