Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling to meet breed standards and owner preferences Handle dogs safely using animal restraint techniques to ensure both pet and groomer safety during grooming procedures Provide pet coat styling tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs, ensuring a neat and attractive appearance Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other hygiene maintenance tasks with precision and care Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Assist with pet handling during grooming sessions, demonstrating gentle yet confident animal handling skills Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and work area to uphold hygiene standards and ensure a safe environment for animals and staff Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming with knowledge of various coat types and breed-specific styles Familiarity with dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plus for understanding animal behavior and health considerations Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles enhances ability to recognize health issues during grooming Strong dog handling skills combined with animal handling expertise to manage pets of all temperaments safely Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners about grooming needs and pet care advice Ability to perform pet nail trimming, pet sitting duties, and animal restraint confidently Physical ability for heavy lifting involved in handling larger dogs or equipment during grooming tasks Passion for animal care combined with a customer service mindset to deliver exceptional pet experiences Embark on a rewarding career where your skills bring joy to pets and their owners alike.
