This role involves supporting our stylists in delivering exceptional hair care and styling services while providing outstanding customer service to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the beauty industry, possess a cosmetology license or be currently enrolled in cosmetology school, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced salon environment, working closely with experienced professionals to develop your skills in hair coloring, styling, and client consultation. Duties Assist senior stylists with hair coloring, styling, and hair care treatments Prepare clients for services by consulting on desired styles and explaining procedures using professional language Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and tools in compliance with health standards Support the team during client appointments, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience Keep up-to-date with current trends in hair styling and color theory to better assist clients and stylists Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients professionally, addressing their needs, and ensuring satisfaction Manage appointment schedules and communicate effectively with clients regarding their services Support inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying when restocking is needed Skills Valid North Carolina cosmetology license or current enrollment in cosmetology school Knowledge of hair coloring techniques, including color theory Strong understanding of hair care practices and styling methods Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and approachable demeanor Ability to work well under supervision while demonstrating initiative when needed Flexibility to work at least three days a week for part-time positions; full-time staff should be available five days a week Prior experience working in the beauty industry is preferred but not required This role is ideal for individuals passionate about beauty and eager to grow their skills within a supportive salon environment.
