Responsibilities:

• Pick up dirty clothes and linens in barrels.
• Check all hall closets when putting out clean linens to make sure they are organized.
• Attend in-service sessions when held
• Clean laundry room and other equipment daily or as needed.
• Clean dryer filters regularly, and frequently.
• Check chemical storage containers frequently to be sure there is an adequate amount.
• Check water frequently for proper temperature.
• Place patients' clothes in appropriate areas in patients' rooms.
• Straighten patients' clothes in drawers and closets at least twice weekly.
• Sweep outside area of laundry when needed and keep area neat and orderly.
• Perform any other task assigned relating to laundry and housekeeping.
• Ensure that labels on clothes are properly maintained, visible and attached.
