Responsibilities Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers and dryers efficiently, following safety protocols and operational guidelines. Sort, load, and unload laundry items with attention to detail, ensuring proper handling of different textiles and materials. Use push carts and other equipment to transport laundry loads safely within the facility, practicing manual handling techniques to prevent injury. Apply appropriate laundry detergents and sanitation procedures to maintain hygiene standards across all textiles. Conduct routine inspections of laundry equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety issues, adhering to safety standards in production. Assist with customer service by responding to requests for laundry services and providing quality garment care. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, ensuring sanitation standards are met throughout the laundry process. Requirements Prior experience or familiarity with cleaning, laundry services, or textile cleaning is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while following safety protocol adherence for manual handling tasks. Basic math skills for measuring detergents, sorting items, and managing inventory. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Strong attention to detail for sorting, inspecting, and maintaining quality control during laundry procedures. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interactions. Ability to operate laundry machines such as industrial washers and dryers safely and efficiently.
