Upholstery Technician Thunderbolt Marine, Inc Thunderbolt, GA Job Details Full-time From $22 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Sewing Fabrication Stitching Repairing (upholstery maintenance) Attention to detail Full Job Description Company Overview Thunderbolt Marine, Inc. is seeking an experienced Upholstery Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of upholstery experience and take pride in producing high-quality workmanship in a marine repair and refit environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Measure, cut, sew, and install upholstery materials. Repair, recover, and fabricate cushions, seating, panels, and other upholstered components. Work with a variety of fabrics, vinyl, leather, foam, and other upholstery materials. Remove and reinstall upholstery components as needed. Read measurements, patterns, and work instructions accurately. Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, appearance, and quality. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment. Work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers, and other trades to meet project deadlines. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience with common upholstery tools. Ability to measure accurately and follow patterns or specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, and work in various positions as required. Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn. Work Environment This position is performed in a marine repair and refit facility and aboard yachts and vessels. Employees may be exposed to noise, dust, heat, cold, and other conditions commonly found in a shipyard environment. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety procedures are required.
Pay:
From $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
