The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience and take pride in producing high-quality workmanship in a marine repair and refit environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Measure and inspect boat structures to determine proper dimensions and installation requirements. Install custom canvas products, including boat covers, enclosures, bimini tops, cushions, curtains, and other marine canvas components. Follow patterns, templates, drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate fabrication and installation. Secure canvas and related materials using snaps, fasteners, zippers, tracks, straps, and other hardware. Make adjustments and modifications to ensure proper fit, appearance, and functionality. Use hand and power tools safely and properly. Inspect completed work for quality, proper fit, alignment, and workmanship. Work closely with supervisors, pattern makers, upholsterers, and other trades to complete projects. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience with common upholstery tools. Ability to measure accurately and follow patterns or specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, and work in various positions as required. Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn. Work Environment This position is performed in a marine repair and refit facility and aboard yachts and vessels. Employees may be exposed to noise, dust, heat, cold, and other conditions commonly found in a shipyard environment. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety procedures are required.
Pay:
From $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
