Appointment Assistant Appointment Assistant Caravan Vet is growing and seeks to add a FT Appointment Assistant to our team. We are a hybrid practice- we have a brand new, beautiful, brick-and-mortar facility near downtown Minneapolis, and also see house call patients in our fully-equipped mobile clinic. The Appointment Assistant (AA) position is ideal for someone with clinical experience, but who is not a Licensed Veterinary Technician. The AA is responsible for all aspects of our outpatient appointments and will also be scheduled to complete Patient Care Appointments such as vaccination boosters, blood pressure rechecks, and blood collection appointments. PCA appointments occur in the clinic and in patients' homes. The ideal candidate's skill set includes the ability to accurately read a medical record, prepare an appointment plan, create an estimate and invoice, draw blood, place an IV catheter, administer vaccinations and other subcutaneous injections, safely handle cats and dogs, position patients for radiographs, take Doppler blood pressure and intraocular pressure measurements, and discuss doctor recommendations and treatment plans with clients. The AA role does not include any surgery, dentistry, or anesthesia shifts, but the ability to monitor sedated patients and help with minor surgeries is a plus. The AA is supported by a Team Assistant (TA) during each shift. The TA helps with cleaning, restraint, inventory management, and some aspects of medical record keeping. Pay Scale:

$19-23/hour, depending on experience and technical skills

Schedule:

4-day work week, one Saturday per month, no evenings or on-call
