Duties:
```
Assist veterinarians in providing medical care for animals
Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
Collect and analyze laboratory samples, such as blood and urine
Perform diagnostic tests, including radiographs,scoping, ultrasounds
Monitor animals under anesthesia and during recovery
Provide post-operative care and monitor the progress of hospitalized animals
Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration ```
Qualifications:
```
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in veterinary technology preferred
Certification as a veterinary technician (CVT) or licensed veterinary technician (LVT) is a plus
Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital
Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
Proficiency in animal restraint techniques and catheterization procedures
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary staff
Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Compassion for animals and a genuine desire to provide quality care
