```- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care for animals
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Collect and analyze laboratory samples, such as blood and urine
- Perform diagnostic tests, including radiographs,scoping, ultrasounds
- Monitor animals under anesthesia and during recovery
- Provide post-operative care and monitor the progress of hospitalized animals
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration ```
Qualifications:
```- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in veterinary technology preferred
- Certification as a veterinary technician (CVT) or licensed veterinary technician (LVT) is a plus
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in animal restraint techniques and catheterization procedures
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary staff
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Compassion for animals and a genuine desire to provide quality care
