This role involves performing clinical procedures, surgery, CT scans, laboratory work, and client communication to ensure optimal health and well-being of our patients. Prior surgery experience and a strong foundation in animal physiology and veterinary terminology are essential for success in this position. Responsibilities Sterilizing instruments for straightforward surgeries to complex orthopedics (up to and including canine total hip replacement) Prepare OR equipment, draping and tools for surgery Prepare animals for surgery (bloodwork, catheterization, intubation, etc) Sterilizing instruments Prepare and guide animals for CT scans Maintain accurate medical records and document procedures thoroughly Begin and monitor anesthesia Demonstrate suture and tie off skills Extubate and recover animals Monitor animal vital signs and recovery post-surgery or treatment Have advanced knowledge of non-ruminant anatomy Possess extremely high organizational skills and detail oriented This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic veterinary setting where compassion for animals meets technical expertise. Pay:
$18.59 - $19.70 per hour
