Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid state licensure/certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired Proficiency in Braille and experience as a Braillist required Prior experience teaching students with visual impairments preferred Ability to adapt curriculum and utilize assistive technology for visually impaired learners Strong communication and collaboration skills with educational teams and families

Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments in school-based settings Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) and support students' access to the general curriculum Prepare, transcribe, and adapt learning materials into Braille and accessible formats Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to foster student success Assess student progress and adjust interventions as needed
