Fisher Law LLC, located in Norwood, is seeking a motivated entry-level Trust & Estate Attorney, with 0-3 years' experience in estate planning and administration and/or elder law to join our growing legal team. We are seeking an individual who is interested in a long-term position with significant growth opportunities and a great work/life balance. The role is open to recent law school graduates and new lawyers.Firm Overview:
At Fisher Law LLC, we help individuals and families navigate some of the most difficult phases in their lives by helping them plan their legacy which may involve avoiding probate, minimizing estate taxes, planning for long-term care, and mitigating the associated, devasting financial effects, plan for family members with special needs, and guardianships/conservatorships.Key Responsibilities:
Draft trust and estate planning documents, including Last Will and Testaments, Durable Powers of attorney, Health Care Proxies, Living Wills, Deeds, Trustee Certificates and Homesteads. Communicate with clients to gather family and financial information for estate planning, public benefit planning and applications, and estate and trust administration purposes, as well as communicate with client advisors, heirs and beneficiaries. Attend client meetings in various capacities, such as documenting key discussions, recommendations/decisions made, and action items assigned, and participating in the execution of client plans. Assist senior attorneys with probate and trust administration matters, including accountings and asset compilations. Assist with MassHealth applications in collecting and organizing supporting documents, as well as the review of bank and other financial statements. Research state probate laws and tax updates. Prepare correspondence and organize client files.Qualifications & Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Active bar admission (or pending bar exam results) in Massachusetts. Strong writing, research, and communication skills. Eagerness to learn estate planning and probate law and interest in elder law. 1+ years' of experience in estate planning or elder law preferred.
