3008184679-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Cambridge Health Alliance seeks a Senior Director of Risk Management & Patient Safety to lead system-wide risk, safety, and patient quality initiatives. This role oversees incident reporting, root cause analyses, and regulatory compliance while partnering closely with clinical and operational leaders. The director will design and implement patient safety programs, analyze trends, mitigate risk, and lead response to adverse events and claims. The role also supports staff education, fosters a just culture of safety, and advances CHA's mission of equitable, high-quality care for diverse, underserved communities. Responsibilities Lead enterprise risk management and patient safety strategy across CHA sites Oversee incident reporting, event review, and root cause analysis processes Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety standards Analyze risk and safety data to identify trends and mitigate system-level risks Collaborate with clinical, legal, and operational leaders on risk reduction initiatives Develop and deliver staff training on risk management and patient safety Lead response to serious safety events, claims, and investigations Promote just culture and continuous improvement in safety practices Report risk and safety performance to executive leadership and committees Align risk and safety programs with CHA's mission of equitable, community-based care Required Skills Healthcare risk management Patient safety program design Root cause analysis and incident investigation Regulatory and accreditation compliance (e.g., Joint Commission) Data analysis and risk trend reporting Policy and procedure development Claims management and litigation support Change management and leadership Staff training and education Communication and stakeholder collaboration
