Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to provide full-time safety oversight for an electrical subcontractor on a long-term construction project in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The project is expected to begin in December 2026 and run through approximately January 31, 2028. Duties & Responsibilities Provide full-time, on-site safety oversight for electrical construction activities. Maintain an active field presence and monitor work activities for compliance with project safety requirements and applicable OSHA standards. Conduct and participate in daily morning safety huddles. Lead and/or support Toolbox Talks (TBTs) and other safety-related discussions. Develop, review, and assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to identify hazards and appropriate controls before work begins. Conduct routine field safety observations and identify unsafe conditions or work practices. Communicate safety concerns to supervisors, project management, and field personnel and follow up on corrective actions. Participate in safety meetings, pre-planning meetings, and coordination meetings as required. Assist with safety planning for upcoming electrical work activities and changing site conditions. Complete and maintain required safety documentation and reports. Report and document incidents, near misses, and safety concerns in accordance with project requirements. Assist with incident investigations and follow-up documentation as needed. Promote safe work practices and reinforce project safety expectations with field personnel. Coordinate with project management, supervisors, and other contractors to address safety-related issues. Qualifications OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.

From $50.00 per hour
License/Certification:
