Fluid Motion is seeking an EHS Manager leads the company's environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring compliance with federal, Washington State, and local regulations. This hands-on role works closely with Operations, HR, Engineering, Maintenance, and employees to reduce workplace risks, prevent injuries, maintain environmental compliance, and promote a strong safety culture. This is an on-site position Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Salary Range - $100,000-135,000 Key Responsibilities Health & Safety Lead EHS programs, policies, training, inspections, audits, and risk assessments. Ensure compliance with OSHA/WISHA/DOSH and applicable safety regulations. Identify hazards, implement corrective actions, and lead incident/root-cause investigations. Manage key safety programs including LOTO, machine guarding, PPE, HazCom, respiratory/hearing protection, fall protection, ergonomics, hot work, forklifts, and emergency response. Maintain required records, reporting, training, and employee safety engagement. Environmental Compliance Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Manage hazardous waste, chemicals, spill response, stormwater, wastewater, air emissions, and recycling programs as applicable. Maintain permits, inspections, records, reporting, and regulatory filings. Coordinate environmental monitoring and work with regulatory agencies and consultants. Review EHS requirements for new equipment, chemicals, processes, and facility changes. Workers' Compensation & Risk Management Partner with HR and Operations on injuries, workers' compensation, and return-to-work programs. Analyze injury and incident trends and implement preventive actions. Support insurance inspections, corrective actions, and emergency preparedness. Leadership & Continuous Improvement Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor and build relationships with employees and leaders. Coach employees and supervisors on safe work practices and accountability. Establish EHS goals, metrics, and KPIs and report performance to management. Drive continuous improvement and a proactive, prevention-focused safety culture. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in EHS, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred. 3-5 years of EHS experience , preferably in manufacturing or an industrial environment. Experience with safety programs, incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and environmental compliance. Working knowledge of
OSHA/WISHA
requirements, hazardous materials/waste, and manufacturing EHS regulations. Strong communication, leadership, coaching, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret regulations, manage multiple priorities, and translate requirements into practical solutions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS recordkeeping/reporting systems. Preferred Certifications
CSP, ASP, CHMM, OSHA
30-Hour General Industry, HAZWOPER, and/or First Aid/CPR/AED. Manufacturing Environment Hands-on work in an active manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, chemicals, noise, and material-handling equipment. Marine manufacturing experience and familiarity with fiberglass/composites, gelcoat, adhesives, solvents, coatings, aluminum fabrication, or welding are desirable.
