The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, utilizing surveillance techniques and conflict management skills to prevent incidents and respond effectively when necessary. Agents must be willing to work in or around Huntsville, Birmingham, Montgomery, and Mobile. This is a 1099 contractor position (not W-2 employment) Contractors are responsible for their own equipment and certifications unless otherwise specified Work is assignment-based , not guaranteed hours Responsibilities Monitor premises through regular patrols and surveillance systems, including CCTV. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action. Enforce rules and regulations to ensure the safety of all individuals on site. Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and provide assistance during emergencies. Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes. Provide first aid and CPR as needed in emergency situations. Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property. Manage conflicts effectively, using de-escalation techniques when appropriate. Being timely in all communications regarding SPG Qualifications Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred. State Certified Armed Guard Card is a must. Firearm Permit Physically Fit Reliable transportation Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and monitoring equipment is essential. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
