Job Description

The Boyd Group is seeking a skilled Body Tech to perform high-quality collision and auto body repairs in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. In this role, you will assess damage, complete structural and cosmetic repairs, align panels, and prepare vehicles for refinish while following standardized processes and OEM/Boyd repair guidelines. You'll work closely with estimators, painters and customer service teams to meet cycle time and quality targets. Responsibilities Perform structural and cosmetic collision repairs to OEM and Boyd Group standards Assess vehicle damage and plan efficient, safe repair methods Repair or replace damaged panels, frames and components using proper tools and techniques Prepare repaired areas for refinish, including sanding, masking and minor filler work Collaborate with estimators, painters and parts staff to meet quality and cycle time goals Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area Document work performed and communicate repair status as needed Participate in ongoing training and adhere to standardized repair processes Required Skills Auto body repair Structural/frame repair Dent removal Metal fabrication and welding Panel replacement and alignment Body filler application and sanding Refinishing prep and masking Use of measuring and diagnostic systems Estimating and repair documentation Shop and OSHA safety compliance
